Hi everyone,
One of the usual itinerary questions :-)
My friend and I are gearing up for a month-long adventure in Thailand, tentatively aiming for February to March. We're all about soaking up culture, exploring everything from temples to great beaches, and grabbing a few beers. We'd love your input to fine-tune our itinerary for an epic trip. I've been there before many times but not to backpack in any way.
Here's what we've got so far:
- Day 1: Fly to Ko Samui
- Days 5-7: Stay on Ko Samui
- Day 7: Ferry to Ko Phangan
- Days 7-10: Stay on Ko Phangan
- Day 10: Ferry to Ko Tao
- Days 10-12: Stay on Ko Tao
- Day 12: Ferry to mainland and bus/taxi to Khao Lak
- Days 13-16: Stay in Khao Lak
- Day 17: Somehow get to Phi Phi Island from Phuket or Krabi
- Days 17-18: Be in the Phi Phi area
- Days 19-30: Go back to Phuket and consider going back to Bangkok for the rest of the time
We're used to a fast-paced travel style and love cramming lots into our days. Any tips, suggestions, shortening, or different destinations, or order of traveling would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help!
