1st time solo traveller. Looking for recommendations and travel tips

I am planning to visit Thailand for a week (19th -27th April). It's my 1st time visiting the place and I am traveling alone. Hoping to get some travel tips in terms of how to plan the trip, places to visit, etc.
Interests: Food and local culture, islands and water activities. Love to be more explorative than party person.
