I’m gonna put them in order, I hope they can be answered :) 1. Do you need to buy a return ticket to show the officials when you show up? I read somewhere that you might need to show this, if somebody can clarify, I’d appreciate it! 2. What’s the longest/easiest visa to get for people holding U.S passport? 3. How do you perform “Visa runs” from Bangkok and Chiang Mai, respectively? 4. What are some norms there, that I should know so I don’t come off as rude/disrespectful? 5. Do you get a visa on arrival with the U.S passport? Also, where do you even apply for the tourist visa and how long is it? (Sorry if it’s similar to question 2) 6. How safe is it there for people of color? I personally doubt I’ll run into trouble, but given my experiences in America (I’m a afro Hispanic), I’d rather ask than assume. 7. How long will $6-7k last me in Thailand? I plan on staying mostly in Chiang Mai, but also Bangkok, I intend on settling for at least 5-6 months before moving to the next destination. 8. Are there opportunities to teach English to make money? I have worked as an educator and have a bachelors here in America, not sure how that works there.
Lastly, tell me anything that I should know :)
Exit: also, what kind of clothes should I bring? What’s the weather gonna be like from May-October? I heard they have plenty of markets that I can buy cheap clothes at, just want to make sure.
