Where do you see thailand in 20 years. Both economically and politically...
I have been to thailand several times. My wife has been twice. She's only seen phuket and samui, shes also seen 2 nights in Pattaya.. she is wanting to retire there now. Especially talking with other people that retired there.
We are in young 30s and make 190k a year combined. We want to retire at 55. We will have over 350k in a high yield savings to live off of until we can start pulling from 401k and IRA retirements.(we will likely have more than 350k as we have two rentalsl properties now, and would either keep renting for passive income or just outright sell them. Depending on how to housing market continues. So money isn't an issue for us)
But 20 years is a long time. Alot can change. For example if Greece adopts a true retirement visa. Then it will be 1st choice over thailand. Same with japan and korea and italy, depending on cost of living.
