Hello, apologies if this doesn't fit what should be posted here, but I'm curious on any perspective.
A friend (Thai native) worked at a beauty clinic for a bit, and was never paid. She filed a complaint, and the clinic sent her a subpoena claiming that she exceeded the 'promotional' offerings to clients and that they were refusing to pat her because of this.
Now they've reached out to negotiate outside of court. If this was in the west, I'd be inclined to say they don't feel confident they will win in court, but she is still very concerned if it goes to court she will lose.
I've suggested she collect as much character witness testimony/letters from employers and professors as she can, but I'm not sure how well that would be received in a Thai court.
Any advice?
