What is Thad's?

Thad's is a swinger/sex club located in San Diego.

What happens at Thad's?

Sexy activity between consenting singles and couples. This can range from hanging out nude or mostly nude to an impromptu orgy. There is also a dance floor, bar (byob), stripper pole, pool and jacuzzi.

Do we have to join in if we go?

Absolutely not. You are welcome to hang out, drink (or not) and people watch or stick to conversation as you please. Everyone must ask before touching and No means no. Only Yes means Yes.

Does Thad's serve alcohol?

Thad's is bring your own drinks. There is a bar to check them in and retrieve them throughout the night. Anything you bring but don't drink has to stay at the end of the night. Thad's does not itself serve any alcohol.

Is the club 18 or 21

Thad's is 18 . 21 to drink (as above you bring your own drinks).

What kind of people go to Thad's?

Singles, couples, swingers, kinksters, exhibitionists and voyeurs of all kinds, shapes and ages.

Are single men welcomed?

Yes, unlike many swingers clubs, Thad's allows single men every night except Wednesday. Wednesday is couples/women only.

When is Thad's open?

Wednesday-Saturday 8pm-2am

Sunday 2pm - 10pm** Currently Only Open for occassional Sundays

Friday and Saturday night are usually busiest. Sunday (not currently happening) is afternoon hours with a pool party. Thursday is bi-night.

How do I get on the list?

Call the Thad's number which you can find at http://thads.com after 4pm on the night of the party you wish to join. Give your name and they will put you on the list. Call before showing up!!!

How much does it cost?

Single women are free or $10 for their first visit. Couples are $60 or $30 if they arrive before 9pm. Single men are $100 for their first visit $80 after. Military/student $60. Cash only. Pay at the front desk.

All interactions at Thad's are purely for the enjoyment of the participants. There is no prostitution or solicitation, you will be banned for any attempt.

What is the dress code?

Men must be nude except for shoes! Wrapping a towel around your waist to avoid being nude is not allowed.

Women wear lingerie or something not much less revealing than that. The rule roughly being: if you could wear it to a night club, it's probably not revealing enough.

The exception to this is Wednesday night which is clothing optional.

Is there parking?

There is a small dirt lot as well as on street parking next to the club. There is also security outside to keep an eye on things.

Is Thad's LGBTQ friendly?

Yes. Note that while Thad's is always inclusive, guests are unfortunately not always so. This mostly affects action between two men who might get weird looks from other guests during public play. Bi night (Thursday) will be more friendly and not as busy.

Is Thad's 420/drug friendly?

No. Drug use is not allowed on Thad's property at all.

Can I vape?

You can vape or smoke outside by the firepits. (Not inside.)

Is Tonight a good night to go?

If it's Wednesday or Thursday it's going to be slower, potentially more intimate. Friday and Saturday are busier. If you want to try to figure out whether a specific night will be busy check the Weekly Meetup Sticky.

Is Tonight a good night to go for a single man?

Same as above.

What's the best time to arrive?

Usually the party peaks around 10 to midnight and starts to get quiet around 2. On very busy nights, if you want a locker get there early, before 9:30 ish.

Someone invited me upstairs, what does that mean?

Upstairs is where most of the private rooms are. If someone invites you upstairs it's generally an invitation to join them somewhere more private to play.

Any advice?

Bring drinks, but don't get drunk. Bring a towel to sit on and condoms. Understand your limits and be comfortable saying no and being told no. No means no. Don't touch without asking. Only yes means yes. If you're not sure about something feel free to ask security or the front desk!

What if I have an erection?

It's a sex club... Respect other people's personal space and you're good.

Is Thad's wheelchair accessible?

Not really, you could probably work with them to get into the downstairs, bar, outdoor area. The upper floor would pose an issue.

Misc things to know.

Phones are not allowed. Any phones/smartwatches/anything that might have a camera must stay in the lockers.

A closed door means stay out.

An open door is an invitation to watch, but not enter and definitely not touch! Ask before touching!

The pool and jacuzzi are open again!

There is no food, bring your own snacks if you want them.

There is a soda bar, help yourself.

There are lockers. Lockers are first come first serve and will run out on busy nights, at which point they will give you a plastic bag to keep your things in and are kept in a staff room by the front desk.

There is a couples only room upstairs. If you're a man, you need to be brought by a woman. If you're two men, two women need to bring you. A couple can't bring a single man to the couple's only room. This is a good place for couples looking to get away from the larger (and skewed male) crowd.

There are showers. The one with warm water is right next to the locker room.
