“Policy violation”

My co worker was fired today and they told her it was a “policy violation “. She has been with them 7 years with no write ups or warnings. A really good employee. She was not warned about this policy violation or even had a clue what she did was in the hand book or a fireable offense. Will she be denied benefits?
