So for awhile I've been wanting to do a Leatherface costume but didn't ever get around to it but I have finally begun. Recently I re watched several TCM movies and it made me want to do a Bubba costume. I decided to go with the Pretty Woman costume as it is my favorite look for him, and I figured I would share my project progress as I work on it. I have a mask and chainsaw shipped and I have the other things planned. Here is my list of what I'm using:

Most importantly, the mask. A Trick or Treat Studios Pretty Woman mask is the best one for the price but since I couldn't order it from TOTS, because they were sold out, I bought mine off Amazon for around 87 dollars, thats including tax. You could also grab one from ebay or etsy, if you find them for a better price.

Next, second most important, the chainsaw. I've seen several posts asking whats a good chainsaw to use and after a lot of digging, I found the perfect one. Its a retired one so it costs a little more on ebay though. Its a Gemmy chainsaw Halloween prop. There are three kinds. A clown colored one, a black one, and an officially licensed TCM chainsaw but it costs double what the other ones cost so I would recommend modifying one of the others. I ordered a clown one and will have to change the top handle and repaint, but it will save me a lot of money so I'm all for that. Just make sure it works. There is also a 2D version that Rubies sells but it looks like very cheap junk so I don't want that.

For the suit, there is a really cheap suit option on Amazon called U LOOK UGLY TODAY. They are party suits and they cost like $50 bucks and since I will be scuffing it up to give it a weathered look, I don't want to spend too much on it. The Navy Blue is the one to go with. It comes with pants as well that match

Next the tie. You can get the tie off ebay or etsy, they are actually kinda common. Just look up leatherface tie and it will bring it right up (or it should lol)

I dont know what I'm gonna do for shoes or the undershirt but I can probably very easily find something to use that looks very similar to the movie.

Lastly, Bubba wears a bracelet on his left arm that can be found on etsy and ebay. It has small bells on it I think. I am not certain about this though.

So thats that. I don't know if Ill do any work on the mask, cause it looks pretty awesome, I guess I'll wait and see when it comes. If I do, it will be very minial work I'm sure.

The chainsaw will probably be the first thing I work on, then the mask, then weathering the suit, boots, shirt, and tie, and that should be it.

So its a Gemmy chainsaw prop. I havent tested one myself but the videos I've seen show it as being pretty good.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the chainsaws that arent TCM brand are the same chainsaw just with a different handle. Other than that, I'm pretty sure they are the same mold.
