So I’ve (f21) have only had my initial heart operation at 11 months old and haven’t yet needed a pulmonary valve replacement. I wouldn’t want to even think about having children until I’ve had my valve replacement whenever that is as I don’t want to potentially put my heart under unnecessary pressure or have small children and have fatal complications during the surgery as unlikely as that is. I am perfectly happy with adopting children if that decision leads me to being too old to have children naturally but I’ve experienced a lot of pressure from both male and female cardiologists to still not rule out pregnancy before valve replacement as I’m “in stable condition” to manage it. Just wondering if I’m the only one who’s had this feedback before
