Question about tetherspout

Thinking about getting a tether spout for a more secure way to stay locked for my mistress. On occasion we do like to have PIV sex. Is it possible to leave the tether in while doing so without discomfort for both party’s? It seams it could be a problem if my mistress wanted to secure me afterwards. The installing and uninstalling of the tether could be an inconvenience?
