100 point lab difference, is that normal?
Post Body

TL;DR My labs are about 100 points different from 2 different testing sights. 276 ng/dL vs 368 ng/dL. Is that normal?

Hey, I’m new to the testosterone game. I’m 35 yr male and have had low libido, decreased energy(literally always tired), little to no improvement in strength or muscle growth.

In my mid 20’s I had my testosterone checked which came back low. My doctor refused to treat me(I had to convince her just to run the test back then). Fast forward to about 8 years later. Still having the same issues. I went to the Low T Center and had the labs ran. They came back with my Test(total)being 276 ng/dL. I’m not sure what my free test was. They were going to start me on testosterone injection but wanted a stupid amount each injection for something I can get a prescription for and inject at home.

I went to my new doctor who was happy to run my labs and talk about treatment. Got my labs back today and it was 100 points higher than at the Low T Center. My most recent labs are 368 ng/dL and free test % of 69.5 pg/mL. Is that a common thing to happen? Do you think I’ll still get a prescription for it with my levels being “normal” even though I’m symptomatic?
