High LH and FAH ‘Normal’ T - 17nol/l. Hypogonadism? Now what? UK/23 YO
Post Body

Hi all,

I’ve struggled with weight all my life, but managed to loose 8 stones about 2-3 years ago. I’ve been trying to build a strong body ever since, but the struggle to recover and low energy makes it very difficult, if not hardy possible.

I’ve been experiencing some aching in my balls recently, I wouldn’t describe that as pain though. My sex drive is all over the place. I go through periods of time where I don’t have any, and then I have a spike for a day or a few hours where its hardly controllable but then it goes away after ejaculation. I also don’t really have morning erection, or if I do they’re very rare.

I also believe I might have some form of gynecomastia, but I’ve never really been diagnosed properly.

I did a blood test a few months ago, showcasing really high LH and FSH levels. However, my testosterone is deemed normal 17nol/l, putting me above the line for TRT (12nmol/l).

I’m waiting on another blood test, but I’m not sure what to do next. I’m happy to go private, but most places seem to operate on ‘if you’re not under x we can’t help’. I’m 23 years old for the record. From my own research hypogonadism seems like what could be happening with me.

Any suggestions/stories etc please feel free to share. I’m on the hunt for a doctor who can help so feel free to share.
