Solar helps.. we would go farther with usage awareness than we will with solar adoption.

Post Body

What Ive learned. Solar is still very cost prohibited. We have a 27kw roof. That means on a sunny day we generate 15-18kw/hr all day long, as the sun moves across its full transit. We normally fully charge two powerwalls by noon (we deplete them nightly) and have the AC grinding, do laundry etc.

On a cloudy day we generate 5-7kw/hr (the MAX of most solar installations on a sunny day), with the AC idle because we are already down to temp, with the tv on, the dishwasher running etc.

Going off grid is not cheep, but possible. I uaually sell the grid 60kw of power a day while using all I want.

We average 50-60kw/day of use.

How much electricity do you use a day? Who in your house knows? Where does it come from?

This is not widely accessible yet…. There is so far to go…. Man… people dont even know.
