I had a quote from an electrician today. They had said that in order to support charging for my home, I needed to install the wall charger to DIAL DOWN the power rating due to the A/C unit and Convection oven hogging most of my 100W Panel. He had said upgrading a wall panel in my condo community would be very long and time consuming.
That being said, the NEMA 14-50 outlet would actually exceed my 100W panel and would not be approved by the city permits.
I asked if there were other options, but it didn't seem to make sense since they would charge so slow.
Is this sound advice?
