anyone with 2024 m3 - lose their pedestrian sound when reversing on latest firmware?

I had some warranty work done on my car and I just noticed the sound in the front is gone. sound works with mega phone and other toybox stuff but not when reversing. can anyone confirm this?
tech says its the latest firmware. I am on 12.5.4.1
