I don’t know if I’m the only one but I am still confused on the steps that I need to do in order to get the $7500 tax credit when I file my taxes. I’ve been to Tesla multiple times and they haven’t given me clear instructions on the things that I need to do in order to get this tax credit.

Today I went into Tesla and I was told to go on Tesla.com and download the IRA Clean Vehicles Credit Report. When I file my taxes, all I’m supposed to do is bring that paper with me.

I want to know is this accurate or are there other steps I need to do?

(Side note: I was also doing my own research and I saw you must owe $7500 in taxes to get the full amount & it's not a refund/money back.. it's credited towards that amount you owe. if you don't owe it's 0) Is this true or incorrect ?
