Tesla private purchase question

Purchasing a 2021 Tesla model y with 48k miles from a private seller first owner. He says I can pay 2k more and he will get the extended warranty from the app which should transfer to me. Anyone have experience with this and knows if Tesla will honor the new warranty just purchased from previous owner and if this will transfer to me? Thanks from someone who never owned a Tesla. Also this car is a long range 7 seater white in white for 41k.
