Modding a Tshock server?

Hello, me and my friends have been playing on a Tshock server (because some commands are just convenient sometimes during expert mode) and I was thinking we should add the calamity mod and some other ones. so do I just have to add the mods to the server? is it different for Tshock? and I guess we need the clients to have the mods as well (duh) Thanks for help! (also we are in 1.3.5.3/latest)
