Haven't played for a while...

Not been too up-to-date on Terraria for quite a few months now, If someone can give me a run-down of what's new and different that would be greatly appreciated. Might be a good time to ask as I see 1.3.1 is just out!

I've heard of Plantera but I've never fought it. Same goes for Golem but according to the wiki I can't fight Golem without killing Plantera. After that, not much.
