Here's the situation, Earthlings:
We, the resistance, have vested most of our interests in Russia, and are slowly re-absorbing former combloc states into the Eurasian Union (you're next, Poland). We've so far enjoyed a significant lead in boost production and early hab construction, but the Europeans are.. um.. unionizing.. under the control of some collegiate hippies and their collective space-faring ability is set to eclipse ours in no-time. however, our terrestrial military might remains Supreme, at least for now.
My question to you, dearest Earthlings, is: how concerned should I be about being lapped by the academy in early space exploration? We're apparently tolerant of each others interests, should I still consider myself in direct conflict with them, or are we just sort of isometrically progressing towards independent, mutually sorta okay victories? If they win=I loose, I'm weighing the options starting a war while I've still got an edge and all the nukes, but if I shouldn't consider their progress a threat then I'd rather not.
