I'm on my 1st playthrough, playing resistance. I accidently disabled the tutorial, but decided to just roll with it and learn as I go along.
It's 2048. I've managed to use identify several aliens on earth so far, but their security and location meant that even with full investigation and 25 stat councilor, I've been unable to capture any Hydra, which is a story objective.
Thing is, other than that things have been going pretty well. The aliens managed to land an form and administration, but after 3 years of prep I managed to both break that up with armies, drive the aliens completely out of Earth orbit, secure Mercury and Earth, in the process of reclaiming Mars (lost in initial stages of total war) and there's a big fleet halfway through to establish a beachhead on Europa.
So all in all, not bad. But it means I don't have aliens on earth anymore, and I can't advance the story and - I assume - get to the point where I can declare my victory condition.
So what happens now? Can I win this by just wiping the aliens out and take Co trol o er the solar system?
UPDATE: managed to snag a live one after assaulting an alien structure with an army. Whooped so loud my wife asked if I was OK. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and answers!
