I am someone who enjoys all of the Terminator films (except Salvation) for what they are. The first two are obviously incredible, Rise of the Machines is okay, but the ending is amazing. Genysis is not good, but has it's moments and Dark Fate is alright too. However, Dark Fate has a major plothole in my opinion. It's the scene where they are all sitting in Carl's *The Terminator) backyard on the patio chairs and Carl is petting his dog. This makes no sense because Kyle Reese explains that they used dogs to spot Terminators during the war by barking really loud and being aggressive. Even the dog outside the motel in the first movie barks when he approaches. So why doesn't his dog constantly bark and get aggressive at him? And the argument that the dog would eventually get used to his scent doesn't work either because a robot wouldn't have a scent. Am I missing something here or is that a genuine plothole?
