I love the simplicity. The looks and the capabilities.
I've owned sportbikes and a DRZ400 supermoto. I think the Tenere is an idealized version of the DRZ with a bigger engine, better highway manners, and fuel injection.
I also love the new Triumph Speedtwin's classic looks and the whole package. For riding around town it would be ideal. Low seat height. Easy to hop on and off. Fun around the twisties. But, for long trips, it is less than ideal: limited luggage capacity. Little wind protection.
The Tenere on the other hand is not as refined but has the capacity to travel far and off the beaten path. I could take the Speedtwin to Mexico but the Tenere would be more capable.
I'd probably spend 80% of my time on road but love the fact I could take the Tenere anywhere and plan more adventurous trips.
Thoughts?
***Update: I bought the Tenere! Sat on it and everything was even better than expected. Not as high as I thought it would be. Looks even better than the pictures ***
