[US-CA] Massive Mold Issue and Multiple Other Problems: Can I Sue My Landlord?
Post Body

I'm facing some severe issues with my landlord that are reaching a boiling point, and I could really use your guidance. I'm in Laguna Niguel, CA, and I'm at the end of my lease. Here are the problems:

Most Recent and Critical Issues:

Mold: This is the top issue. The landlord's been responsive, but improperly managing the mold problem, even after multiple complaints. I hired a mold inspector twice now and the results were disturbing. We have "abundant quantities" of harmful molds in the AC’s plenum. This is the third time we've reported the issue.

AC and Fridge: Both failed in the last month of the lease, during extreme heat and humidity. Likely, this is a breaker issue. The breaker panel itself appears outdated and rusty.

Flooding: We experienced severe flooding when using the upstairs bathtub for the first time; it affected personal belongings downstairs.

Earlier Issues That Were 'Dealt With':

Sanitation: Had to clean up spiders and webs upon move-in.

Leaks: Multiple instances of leaking that were not properly fixed.

Appliances: Numerous issues with an oven that took two months to replace and a faulty garbage disposal. Oven is still broken.

Garage Incident: Debris fell and cracked my windshield in the first month of my lease.

Considering all these issues, especially the critical mold problem, do I have grounds for legal action? Should I be demanding back rent for all these recurring problems? I appreciate any advice you can offer.
