Ide say a good portion of the singles think it's one big orgy going on or that ever females wants to fuck every guy that see. Every trip we make (twice a year) we see single guys out of hand. Most of the time at bash. On the other hand we have made friends with a few single guys who go there often and they do very well.
To me it comes down to personality, looks and what your experience is in that situation. Most of us couples will talk to a single guy if the conversation is going good, it does not mean he's getting laid as not everyone there is in the scene.
