I just looked over my first batch of feedback, and started to wonder: if they already know the acceptable range of ratings, why are we rating?
Is it just that those acceptable ranges are determined by consensus? (i.e. they get them from an overview of all of our ratings combined?).
If that's the case, then I have another question: what if most people miss something that I catch? For example, I recently caught a major mistake on a fact about a movie, and provided a URL with proof. So I rated low quality/FTM. But if most other raters miss that, then mine would technically be wrong (even though I could prove it was right).
Thoughts?
