I'm 21, Asian. I am diagnosed with telogen efflevium last year on October by a dermatologist. I trimmed my hair short and been using Seskavel anti hair loss solution but not been using it consistently (it's my fault). I also started using hrt last year on November too but I'm not using any male blockers since I'm afraid that it will only make my hair loss worse (due to seeing a lot of trans women here in my country saying that it contributed in their hair thinning)
On the last week of January I experienced 2 weeks of high fever & severe cough not sure if it's covid and from there on I noticed my hair loss becomes worse. My ponytail isnt that thick anymore and when I take a bath and shampoo my hair I can feel that it's very thin. I don't notice any bald patches on my head neither have a receding hairline so I'm quite scared whether it's diffuse alopecia or AGA. I seek to a trichologist but she didn't said if it's TE or alopecia but she did said I have diffuse thinning hair (thinning on my hairline, temples and crown). She recommended a treatment which will be done in their clinic (not prp, meso, or llt) they will put a serum called xlr8 and do some other procedures and I didn't went through it since it's quite expensive. She even said that my hair will be all gone :)
I've been tracking my hair loss too and normally I shed when my hair is dry. Maybe around 20 hairs in the shower and mostly 100 and more when dry.
Will minoxidil help? I'm already taking multivitamins. If you have any thoughts or treatments that can help please leave a comment. If I'm going to use minoxidil how long should I use it. I think I lose about 40 to 50 percent of my hair already.
