The outfit Lucy’s mom is wearing when she visits the school?! It looks very current and that’s definitely not the “business casual” attire I remember from 2008 lol she’s wearing dainty jewelry, a pastel blue blazer and the skinny jeans that didn’t become mainstream until we transitioned into the next decade like 2010/2011 ish.

And don’t even get me started on the hair and makeup. You could expect them to look and dress kind of like the girls on the hills (but more like everyday suburban wannabe Lauren and Adrianna ish) which was 2006-2010 and especially the early seasons bc fashion trends take a year or two to reach “everyday” people after being show on celebs and in LA and NY so theoretically in 2008 the college trends would be stuff we saw in magazine in like 06/07

Everything about this fashion in this show gives 2012-2015 energy and it genuinely distracts me from the plot
