Recents not showing up/disappearing

Hey, long time Telegram user here but by no means an expert. It seemed to me that forever if I deleted a chat (just for me) that the user which I was just deleted would show up in my recents. So, if I wanted to restart a chat, it was very easy.

Recently, I’ve noticed that those recent users that I’ve been chatting with have disappeared and unless I type in their username perfectly, I can’t find them.

The funny thing is that users that I’ve not chatted with in a long time…like weeks/months still show up in my recents but not my true recents.

Anyone else seeing this? Any solution?
