Legitimate uses for Telegram?
Post Body

I joined Telegram recently as I've been looking for various casual sexual encounters. Another redditor suggested the Telegram app and so I've been slowly navigating it and learning how to use it...

Groups near me include an HOA for a nearby neighborhood... The group is full of, "This message couldn't be displayed on your device because it contains pornographic materials." Certainly not what I'd expect for an HOA and neighborhood group. I may have to check out their upcoming pool party and BBQ though.

Another group is "Fuck N*****s" (racist expletive) again full of pornography and bots peddling emoji ladden references to drugs.

It seems the scammers and bots are also on there and they aren't very stealthy or clandestine about it... I'm still weeding through all of them to find a good local group to join.

However, amongst the "People Nearby" I noted a photo of my kids' PE teacher. They're 0.3 miles away, which is about right for his house. We go over from time to time, as they operate some extracurricular clubs and activities. His username is fictional, but his photograph, the logo on the breast pocket of his shirt, and even the wall behind his computer desk are EASILY recognisable.

Is my kids' PE teacher also looking for drugs or sexual encounters? What else would they be doing on this app?
