Need help figuring out how to deal with my losing streak and accept defeat without it affecting my mental health.
Post Body

So, I’ve been playing Tekken since I was a child. Tekken 3 to Tekken 6 were staple games I played. My dad was great at Tekken too. He was a Law main. I’ve always been an alright player in my opinion. I’d either find a way to draw or to win. For the past few months however, I’ve been bested by this one friend I play with. Not short margins either. 60-2 kind of margins. I’ve tried to better my movement and my game plan overall. However, even after that, I lack. Tekken 7 feels different. He uses characters from the newest gen. I however can’t seem to get him even though I use OG characters. It’s gotten to a point where the game isn’t fun for me anymore and I don’t enjoy playing it. I need advice from the people here in the Tekken subreddit to figure out how to deal with this in a healthy manner. I know it’s a competitive fighting game but I’ve bettered myself in alot of competitive games and gotten to a really good level. I just don’t know how to deal with this. Sorry if I sound a bit off. Just dk how to deal with this.
