Before you judge read
Prologue:
The Zaibatsu was founded by Jinpachi pre WW2 (before 1939)
Heihachi and Kazumi met eachother and started a relationship (70s)
Birth of Kazuya (1985)
Kazumi has been killed by Heihachi, Kazuya (5 y.o.) has been thrown from a cliff by Heihachi and Jinpachi got imprisoned by Heihachi (1990)
Tekken 1
- 20 years Timejump (2010)
Tekken 2
2 years Timejump (2012)
During the Intro of T2 you can spot a billboard which shows that the timeline is within 2012 (I was surprised too)
Tekken 3
15 years Timejump (2027)
Jin is 15 y.o. and looses his mother Jun (2027)
4 years Timejump (2031)
Jin enters the 3rd tournament (2031)
Tekken 4
2 years Timejump (2033)
Heihachi announces the 4th tournament (2033)
It was shown during the Intro that T4 takes place 20 years after T2 (2012-2033 maybe they slightly shifted from 2032-2033)
Tekken 5
2 Month Timejump (Same year 2033)
It was mentioned that Jinpachi got imprisoned 40 or 50 years ago
Tekken 6
6 Month Timejump (it’s either 2033 or 2034)
Based on the Intro it could be during winter perhaps? (But not sure if the end of 2033 or beginning of 2034)
Tekken 7
No Timejump (either 2033 or 2034)
It’s considered that T4-7 should be during the same year. But nothing was confirmed
Tekken 8
- 6 Month Timejump (It should be at least 2034 already. Either the very beginning of 2035)
I know this seems weird that T1 and 2 could be playing during the 2000s. But that billboard made me believe that T2 is during 2012. But it makes sense though. Judging by how advanced the Zaibatsu already is. It all seems very futuristic.
It could be possible that we are somewhere between 2034-2035 (we don’t know when the years actually have been shifted).
What’s your theory?

Yeah, even Lars' phone is a good example of this.
