Seeking toothbrush recommendations after a bad experience with a sonic toothbrush.

Post Body

I recently bought a sonic electric toothbrush. The experience was disappointing because instead of cleaning my teeth better than a manual toothbrush, it did a far worse job as I started to build plague even on areas where I never had it. I put it down to the bristles being way too soft than I am used to. To add to that, I also started experiencing toothache all of a sudden.

Anybody else experienced the same? If you did, what did you do about it?

Also seeking recommendations for a better electric toothbrush. Is it worth spending on a rotating electric toothbrush instead of a sonic one? I've read that the rotating ones are better but also too noisy. The noise bit kind of puts me off, but that's not nearly as important as having decently clean teeth.

TIA!
