Interesting thread on a new LENR patent in /r/technology
Post Body

There is a thread in /r/Technology about a newly issued patent for a device that is supposed to produce anomalous heat through low energy nuclear reactions between hydrogen and nickel.

This particular reaction apparently has some validation, and may be on the cusp of becoming something tangible (or it may all be an elaborate hoax).

If it is real it would fundamentally alter the world's economy more than any invention in history - oil would be almost worthless, and desalinization and indoor agriculture would become dirt cheap.

I am on the fence, but I certainly hope it pans out...
