today in class we read “an honest proposal” which is a satirical piece by jonathan swift. the proposal in question was that poor irish people start selling their babies as food. the reason i’m bringing this up at all is because i distinctly remembered techno mentioning it in a skywars video which is why i was so excited to read the piece.

i’ve finally gotten into his blitz videos too and hearing techno mention his struggles with calculus as i’m currently also getting obliterated by calculus really helps me feel less alone and bad about it.

i don’t know i just think it’s kind of sweet now that i’ve matured a bit and can more relate to the perspective techno was making his videos from and that point in life rather than just looking up to him like any popular youtuber who were almost all adults. he really was just an upper teen back then playing minecraft and talking about life. i think there is something truly beautiful about that and i really miss in modern youtube. that’s what drives my desire to make videos but gotta stop getting flawlessed by calculus first.
