GCSE Results Question
Post Body

I recently applied for a job where my GCSEs were requested, I'm a uni graduate, so it was unexpected, but I gave genuine results nonetheless.

When I went in for interview, the man conducting the interview mentioned that his wife is a secondary school teacher and had used my name and looked me up in "the database of results" to check if they were correct.

My results I gave were genuine, but is that really a thing or was it just some weird scare tactic? If it's real, I'm fairly sure that would be a violation of the Data Protection Act and I'd be pretty pissed.

Anyone have any knowledge in this? Thanks
