How do you get ideas for lesson planning?
Post Body

I’m not looking for resources so hopefully this is allowed.

I’m an ECT1 in a school with central resources. Occasionally I will change entire lessons to fit the classes I have but generally speaking I have stuck to what’s on the system. I was having trouble with a particular class and my mentor has said that I need to consistently come up with more creative lessons for them, e.g., if a lesson on the system has a reading comprehension and questions I need to come up with a more interesting activity. My issue is that I cannot do that, as much as I rack my brains I can’t keep coming up with all these different activities.

Does anyone have any advice? Apologies for possible formatting issues, I’m on mobile.
