Quitting after first semester

Post Body

Hi all!

I am a hs Spanish teacher.
My original plan was to leave after the end of this year , but honestly, I’m so miserable right now I feel like I won’t be able to make it. The school is under construction and we don’t have enough rooms, so as a solution my school put walls up in the gym without ceilings and forced several of us to move there. It’s awful and I feel like I can’t do anything engaging without disrupting other classes. I have been taking nursing classes online and am hoping to be a full time student during the winter semester. I’m planning on telling my admin sometime in October to give them time to find a replacement. People who have done this: How far in advance did you let them know? Did you face any repression’s? What advice do you have?
