District put a thank you sign in my front lawn for the hundreds of extra hours I worked and $1000 of dollars spent last school year as a thank you..lol.

Post Body
I'm a bit perturbed by school districts handing out yard appreciation signs to teachers. You want to give us a "sign" that were appreciated and respected as professionals maybe start by giving us a respectable wage, enough counselors so I don't have to play therapist to 100 children or I would even settle for a proper supply budget so I don't have to spend $1000 dollars each year out of pocket.
