I have a unique name that's Spanish in origin, and if someone has a knowledge of Spanish as a language it's relatively easy to spell (knowing pronunciation). Last year, I had absolutely zero issues with staff spelling my name wrong, they learned how to pronounce it fairly quickly (or used my given shortened version of calling me by my initial). It was great!
So tell me why the first email I get from an AP this school year that contains my name has it misspelled in what I find to be the most annoying way. What's worse is this was done by an AP who I know has better knowledge than most of my name. They were the one that best helped the rest of the AP group learn my name last year. If it's misspelled there, on the master schedule for the school of all things, then where else am I going to find my name miswritten? Student schedules? District recognition? My Canvas classes?
This isn't really that super important, but it feels freaking disrespectful and I'm irritated.
