My students spent last week working on designing 3D models of an ornament. Their ornaments needed to be holiday or winter themed. I also told them that they could enter their designs into a contest and that we would open the contest up for voting. The five designs with the most votes would be 3D printed for the winners to keep. I would also pick one design from each class out of all the designs that did not win to also 3D print. I would like to share the link with you so that anyone who wants to participate in the voting can do so.
I am pretty proud of their work considering that they only had about a week and a half to learn the software before they started working on this project (with some prior learning of 3D modeling techniques in another program). After 24 hours, some positions are too close to call, so cast your votes if you want. Voting ends in the morning.

Edit: Thanks everyone. I can't right now, but will share a link to the instructions for anyone who wants to use them in your own class.
Edit 2: Here are the instructions. Feel free to make a copy for yourselves to edit for your own class. Any 3D modeling software will do, I just used the ones my students have been learning.
FINAL RESULTS EDIT: View the Winners After 268 voters for a total of 1340 votes, the voting has ended. It was pretty neck and neck for some positions, but the Gingerbread Man slowly gained ground over time. The 3rd - 5th place spots were separated by only SIX VOTES! It took another 24 votes to get from 5th to 6th. I had a pretty good idea who the top six would likely be when I first shared this post, but your votes did shake up the positions. Thank you to everyone who voted. I will begin 3D printing the winners shortly.
