Post Body

Hello there! I am currently living in CA and will be transferring from Chabot community college to a four year university. I will be majoring in history and be looking to apply for the school's teacher credential program.

I have been admitted to and am currently deciding between the following schools: UC Irvine, UC Davis, UCSD, CSU LB and CSU Sacramento. My career goals are to obtain my single subject credential, become a high school teacher and obtain a masters degree sometime (I'm currently undecided when I should obtain it).

My main question is, with the goal of becoming a teacher, is the UC system that much better than the CSU system, or is there not that much of a difference? I don't have anyone to really ask for their experience, and I guess I'm having trouble coming up with a decision, because I'm not familiar with the difference between UC vs CSU besides having to pay more for tuition should I choose to go to a UC.

If anyone could help me out and go into their experience of getting their degree/credential from a UC or CSU, I would be very appreciative. Thank you all for taking the time to read this, and have a good night everyone!
