What the hell? Yesterday I filled out an online application for a position in a different district, and on the references page, they made two things very clear: 1) You must list your current principal, and 2) your references will be contacted as soon as this application is submitted.
I froze. I just assumed that I would be able to apply for a job, the chances of which I might be considered are completely unknown, without alerting my boss to it. Anybody gotten into any trouble for this? Today, I emailed the principal to let her know I had applied to a different district, listed one of my reasons that I thought would be the least offensive to her, and then said that I appreciate working with her and if I am not offered the job that I am still very happy working with her and these students.
Am I boned?
