Hi everybody...My school is planning for ACCESS testing, which is always a nightmare every year. Our test coordinator wants to knock out testing ASAP, which I understand and agree with. However, the schedule she made has us testing (in a secure test environment--no computers, phones, reading, grading, etc.) 6 hours a day for 5 or 6 consecutive days. We would have roughly a 45 minute break for lunch in between two 3-hour sessions.
My version of the test schedule is similar but would not be quite so grueling. We would still have to test, but we'd spread it out a bit more over the course of about 8 days.
However, the longer you take, the more the whole building has to stay in secure testing mode with no bells, announcements, etc.
As usual, the people making the schedule are not the ones testing 6 hours a day for consecutive days. I want to keep an open mind about this, though. Which schedule would you all prefer?
