Iām really hitting my breaking point. I was hired as a Social Studies/English teacher and frankly the kids have not come back yet and I feel overwhelmed. 1st I am the only world history teacher and one of my classes is sheltered for ELLs so that is two preps. In addition to the English prep. 2nd I feel like admin is really bad at communicating and also is asking a lot. Just today I learned that they expect two weeks of lesson plans next week and syllabi tomorrow by noon. 3rd. All the first year teachers feel overwhelmed and confused about what to do. No one has really sat down and talked to us about policies and we have had to our email it together. Is this normal and how can I survive my first year cause already I want to quit.
