So hi y'all!
My mom is joining the teacher workforce as a family and consumer sciences (home ec) teacher. I wanted to reach out on her behalf in here and see if anyone had any specific advice, resources, etc that I could share with her. Classroom necessities would also be great!
I've got her mostly started with the basics. I'm a high school math teacher, so I've gotten most of the "hey these are the things you need to know about teaching teens" things covered as well as basic classroom things.
It's a very small school (a 1A school in Texas) and she'll have like at the absolute most 50 students across all her classes. The kitchens are fully stocked with the cooking supplies needed. She will be given a curriculum (but she hasn't been told which one yet).
Thanks in advance y'all!
