It’s my 2.5th year teaching and I just got non renewed at a third school. I am chronically ill and have had several hospitalizations and flare ups that made me miss a lot of school. Schools come up with other reasons to get rid of me but it boils down to the absences and lack of energy if we’re being honest. This one particularly hurt because I like the school and they have serious teacher shortages so getting rid of me means I must be awful. Will any school ever hire me again? Am I doomed? I worked so hard to become a teacher and work so hard to try to stay afloat but I guess I’m not good enough. I love teaching don’t know how else to make a living. Should I take the hint and give up?
