I am a professional stagehand by trade, I am applying for a job at a local private school. It sounds like there is room for the possibility I will get financial support to get a teaching cert. I’ve worked with kids and taught more than a few about how to be professional technicians, and currently I will be working with them and likely sharing skills and info in an unofficial capacity.
My point in this post: Anyone have any tips for me for things to keep in mind as I possibly start this career shift? Any suggestions for do’s/don’t’s? Any warnings? I’m kind of walking in blind on the “official” aspects, but I have had some success in what teaching/training I have done.
