Please help! My husband's tarantula that he had since she was a sling passed away 2 years ago suddenly after a move (we're thinking it was too close to her time to molt and the move stressed her out) this devastated my husband. He kept her, as he wanted to incase her in resin so he put her in a container and stored her away (I can't remember if her dried her out before hand or did it properly). I was cleaning out our basement and I had moved her which I pointed out to him to put her in a better safe place. Well this never happened. The container got knocked about and of course she broke apart, I haven't opened the container to really assess the damage but I can see some of her legs have broken off. I brought her up at a bad time and he got really upset and got really nasty about it and stormed off. I asked him what he wanted me to do with her and I could see he was fighting back tears and told me to just throw her away. I just couldn't do that, and I hid her away. He later asked me where she was so he could throw her away and I told him no, i put her away which he tried to argue with me over but insisted that we were not throwing her away and that I wanted her, so we were not throwing her away. I can't afford to take her to a taxidermist and with her broken legs I think she would be too fragile to still try to incase her in resin (or can she?) I've watched a few videos so far on how to display and taxidermy her myself but I don't know what do or how to fix her legs. Can she be saved?? My second thought was to cremate her but that won't be the same and I already upset him enough.
