Does exposing your tattoo to the sun expedite the removal process?

Curious bc I’ve read posts on regular tattoo threads that say don’t expose your tattoo to the sun because it’ll make the tattoo not last as long or something. Any experiences w people who do expose their tattoo to the sun between laser tattoo removal sessions when the skin has been healed?
